Following up from my last post, Jon Huertas posted a few more pics of the Generation Kill Apocalypse Man watching party. I wonder whose lovely home this is because I really like that rug. ASkars lounging adorably on the floor! Stark Sands was in charge of the remote (of course)! Casey Casem shows up late! Captain America (I see a little drum kit in the background. Does someone have Rock Band?)! Click on the pics to embiggen.

And speaking of Gen Kill, and by that I mean Lee Tergeson, Beecher and Keller reunite! Lee has been guest-starring on so many shows lately, which is great, but I think he needs a show of his own.

exsequar posted an awesome, non-spoilery Band of Brothers picspam:  Meet the boys of Easy Company, and destina recently made a pimping post with recs. If you've never seen BoB before (to which I say: GET ON THAT YESTERDAY), HBO is airing episodes every Sunday evening. Part 1 aired this past Sunday (after the ep, I went in the kitchen to get spaghetti, and Brother came in and asked me, "Are you having Army noodles and ketchup?"), but you can catch up if you have On Demand. HBO is very smart to do this because BoB will lead right into their brand-spankin' new miniseries, The Pacific, on March 14th.

My mother brought home our new kitchen calendar: Marvel Heroes!  She saw Thor on the back and knew she had to get it. This reminded me that I never made up my mind on which calendar I wanted for my room. Whoops. Hopefully they're not sold out.

In the end, Neil Patrick Harris won After Elton's Big Gay Battle. The whole thing started off very calmly, until NPH and John Barrowman brought the battle to Twitter. Then their friends and various websites took sides (Jonathan Ross, Nathan Fillion, Alyson Hannigan, Alyssa Milano, Neil Gaiman), and fanart was made (including an awesome art piece by bluejeanius).

I wasn't expecting much from the GMAC Bowl last night between Central Michigan and Troy, but it turned out to be a real nail-biter. I think the bowl season, on the whole, this year was really exciting. Looking back on the regular season, someone on YT put up CBS's 2009 College Football Season in Review, which is cute. And in a little over an hour, the National Championship is going to start. Texas vs. Alabama. I have no affiliation with either school, so I'm just hoping for a close game where everyone plays their hearts out. Keith Jackson (Oh how I miss him up in the booth. I think he'll always be The Voice of College Football for me) will be tossing the coin, and Bobby Bowden will be giving out the trophy. I love college football.

I still haven't seen Sherlock Holmes! :-O
