Oooooooo, I get it now. I saw a few people on the ole foflist talking about reading Richard Castle's new book, Heat Wave, and I thought they were just playing along with the show Castle. Turns out ABC has actually released a
real book about Nikki Heat! And it actually
debuted at #26 on the New York Times Best Seller list! Color me tempted.
And speaking of Castle, there's the Ryan/Esposito icon I decided on. I liked that cap because Ryan is staring at Esposito's mouth. ;-) I ended up with nine icons to decide upon, four of which are Castle/Ryan/Esposito, so I added them to the bottom of my random fandom icon post
here. Since Geocities is closing at the end of the month (how annoying is that? I can't even imagine all the fanfic classics that will be lost), I had to move all my orphan icons here to LJ and figured I might as well post my shareable userpics along with the prospectives as I make them. They're never enough to warrant a post on their own, so I'll just keep adding them there and maybe point to it periodically. Just ignore the top half of that post because those icons I made as far back as 3 years ago. But as I'm not going to pretend I never made bad icons, in the interest of completion, I included them.
Ryan Murphy on the cast of his show Glee being pulled from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Oh snap!
Thank you, Kevin & Olivia. As I seem to be saying with increasing regularity: whatever, NBC!

accioslash has an interesting
poll about recs. I haven't recced in ages, mostly because I try to only rec fics I've commented on, and I've been really bad about commenting lately. So it's turning into a cycle of lameness on my part. :-\
My brother keeps encouraging me to drink coffee whenever he brews a pot, which is usually in the morning then again in the evening. I usually resist because I'm not a regular coffee drinker (I'm usually only in the mood for a cup about once a month or so), but lately I've been giving in. Anyway, it's a good excuse to use the cute mug I found at
Anthropologie.
Aha, there's a show called
Man Caves on DIY Network wherein they design and build dude havens. Even though they're intended to appeal to guys, I find a lot of those rooms charming, if at times kitschy. Luckily, here they're done by professionals, so there's no tackiness.
Tonight's the finale of Hell's Kitchen! I like all three of the remaining competitors, so may the best person win!
