Paul Newman passed away! Here's Roger Ebert's tribute. Vanity Fair recently had a
long article on Newman, with a
fabulous gallery. I love the pics of him playing table tennis with Robert Redford and riding a bike in Butch Cassidy costume, but my favorite has to be his
picture with Steve McQueen, Barbra Streisand and Sidney Poitier.
Video of Dexter's Michael C. Hall on The Early Show, with some large pictures. And here's a
short Q&A the LA Times did with him. He looks cool yet creepy in the included picture. And an
interview with David Zayas (Angel). Whoever transcribed it spelled Lila 'Liza.' Oy.
Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert in Entertainment Weekly. They are so naughty.
Rachel McAdams joins Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law & Mark Strong in Sherlock Holmes.
Well hi-ho Silver,
Johnny Depp will be Tonto in The Lone Ranger. I'm wavering between excited and wary about this, but it will all depend on who they chose to be the title character.
Someone has been rumored to be showing interest in playing that lead role, and if that turns out to be true, it would be hilarious. And even if the film's crap, as long as the stars are cool, it can be redeemed through fic. ;-) Depp has also signed on to be in Pirates of the Caribbean 4. There better be some Barbossa, too! A little Norrington too wouldn't go amiss, though I know it's highly unlikely.
"A Night to Remember" from High School Musical 3. The first comment on that page has a video preview of the musical number in the film. So dorky. I don't know, I don't like the songs I've heard so far from HSM3 as much as the ones from the first two movies. Here's hoping the songs I haven't heard are better.
I tried to watch some of Grey's Anatomy this week, to catch a glimpse of Dr. Vorenus, but could barely handle it. Is that show always that, well, cringeworthy?
Morehouse College and Prairie View A&M played a special game at the Coliseum (where USC plays) today, and wow, their bands are fabulous. And woah, did you see the white-out in the Penn State stadium? Everyone has on a white shirt and just about everyone has a white pom-pom, too. It's a leetle skeery.
