Ninja, Writing and Sky Warrior Books
I've been remiss in actually writing in this blog. Most of it has to do with keeping up three blogs (not easy), a publishing company (how in the hell did I do that?) and making an attempt at writing. Not to mention cons, goats, chickens, dogs, horses and assorted every day life things.
We started getting back into Ninja class going on Saturday. So, today I'm sore. Not from the moves, but from hitting the mats. No matter how well you fall and roll, you still hurt. So today I am paying the price. Yesterday I wimped out on rolling. This is nothing new for me. I don't roll well to begin with and it's a self conscious thing. Only when I'm hurled into the danger zone do I roll. And not particularly pretty at it.
So, that's ninja. Today, I got anghara 's book, Embers of Heaven formatted for e-book and sent her the proofs. Once I get those back, I'll put Embers out and put together the print version. I've got Gears and Levers to format and make sure I have all the signed contracts. I also have royalties to do and get One-Way Ticket to Midnight and Quick Shots formated in e-book. Oh yeah, and Sue Bolich's Windrider final edits are appearing sometime soon.
It's nice having so many books going, but at the same time, it can be somewhat overwhelming. It makes writing my own stuff harder, because when it does get difficult, it's easy to just go and do some publishing stuff. I've been trying to work on three books. One, is Web of Wyrd which is at 77K and is in desperate need of another subplot and some serious fixing. The second is Daemons and Shadows, a Shadowhelm Story, which I've been promising to Carol Hightshoe of WolfSinger Pubs. The third is the sequel to Lachlei, tentatively titled Exiles of the Chi'lan.
So,, how is that going? Daemons and Shadows is at 27K of about 50K. I'm screaming about lack of motivation for my character. Tonight, I haven't written a thing. That good. Why do you ask?
