I always felt like Remus would have a lot of anger after Sirius died. How it would manifest itself is a different question, but I really like angry!Remus for a fic like this. It feels real, after everything he's been through.

The thing that got me thinking was that Remus was having to hold Harry back from running, which was probably giving him some control over his reactions.

What if someone else was holding Harry? What if he was standing alone while contemplating his future life? What if the vague knowledge that Harry was nearby just wasn't enough?

If I was Remus I would be pissed, and just so tired of being the one left behind. To get Sirius back, whether as a friend or a lover, for such a short space of time only to lose him...it's just so cruel.

That was my favourite bit, too. The fragile beautiful moment of connecting, contrasted with the utter, bitter resentment at being left alone.
