OKAY OKAY SO. So. Guys. So I got my costume shirt (ugh, yes, I dropped $50 for a large Spock shirt. A LARGE. they only had large or x-large, so. :\ mum's done measurements and is gonna do some sewing sometime this week...) AND I got The Romulan War AND I managed to find Only Revolutions for $6. In hardcover. That book used to be like $20, I swear to god.
I HAVE DISCOVERED that while I generally like Borders better, B&N has an infinitely better sci-fi/fantasy section.
The Winds of Dune is out, so we'll probably have to get that, and...I saw...And Another Thing..., which is the new HG2G book by Eoin Colfer. Who is...I guess he does some popular series? *wiki's* Artemis Fowl. Right. Never read 'em, never will. And I mean, dad and I shared that highly skeptical yet somewhat intrigued look when I told him about it. I mean...let's face it, the last and 5th book was pretty awful. But it was, y'know, the end, and it was Doug Adams. I don't know how I feel about anyone trying to do anything Doug Adams-y, much less HG2G. :\\\\ */forever* Since it only came out the other week, I'll have to go dig for some reactions, I guess.
Didn't go to Five Below to glance at cheap-ass dvds. Not like I needed them. I got my costume and my book. I have boots, and I found that my black size-too-small sweatpants are long and still...fit a size-too-small, but the shirt length, even after mum sews it up, should cover the dumbass patch on the ass.
Did library check-in shifts today and yesterday 1-3. God, yesterday was a bitch, with the alternating rain and sun, and the bookdrop was massive, and the entire time, I was the only one checking in because everyone else had called in sick (which is why I was asked to come in in the first place). Today was better, not to mention ~gorgeous~. Last night I hung out and watched TF07...as you all well know. XD
So tonight I'll do a little rough draft writing of some stuff I'm supposed to have for English tomorrow, and I'm not worried about those. Maybe watch last week's Castle with mum. Probably try and catch up with The Forgotten today and tomorrow. So, yes, except for my costume being huge, it's all good over here~~~
...And it's uh-hura. Not YOU-hura. Why would you ever pronounce her name like that. Plebeians...
