(no subject)
Ooookay. So. My computer fried. (This is the one that was my brother's which was the same as my old one that fried.) Dad ordered a new one that should be here about Wednesday. Hopefully my hard drive's not fragged all to hell, or I will be pissed.
It's an HP desktop, since I'm staying at home at least the first two years when school starts, then we'll decide if they wanna get me a notebook or not.
Ugh, this day has NOT been going my way. It started out great! And then I got stuck on Okami, and my comp failed, and my stomach revolted. So I'm using dad's. Means, obviously, I won't be around nearly as much, but at least I CAN use it. And at least it's only a couple of days. And I needed a new one for school anyway. God, that thing is a piece of CRAAAAAP, and god only knows how old it is. Was. Tch.
It's a Pavilion Slimline, and it'll have Vista, which'll be a pain in the ass, but I am, as always, adaptable. And Office 2007. Hm. But yes, it will be a LOT better than my old thing, here's hoping. Dad was all ':\ no wonder it always ran so slow', yeah, no fucking wonder.
In other news: finished Geisha a while ago, started Arthur, picked up (finally) My Sister's Keeper, which I'm also blazing through so I'll need more soon. I'll see what the library has. Probably nothing interesting, as usual. (At least I didn't have to pay for my book!) I need to just...spend everything I have at Borders or something. (And pick up Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei for the love of godddd.) Need more Dresden. Need list of all the Trek books I need to catch up on to understand Destiny. (And ooooh, the next Enterprise one will be out in a few monthsss~)
...I just realized I miss Firefox already. No LJlogin. No insta-spellcheck. Fffff.
