Man, so on my feminist sites, now and then they'll post about some tremendously offensive ad or something, and sometimes they're awful and highly mockable, and sometimes they're commercials you see every day that I think...are perfectly fine. O.o There was wank about the Vagisil wipes commercials about keep fresh "down there" and I'm sitting there like '...but...some people do smell and don't want to .-.' Stuff like that.

And stuff like this, with that shick trimmer thing meant for bikini lines and all. What's the problem here? Are women not allowed to want to get their bushes trimmed? I guess the problem is with the way it's advertised? I'm not sure. There's no problem with this commercial. .-. It's selling a product some women are going to want. (Hell, it sounds good to me!)

Sometimes I feel like a fail feminist because I don't get worked up about some stories and ads and pics and etc. like others do. There've been epic posts on Feministing about ads where there are arguments about 'I don't see what's so wrong, I find it really funny' and stuff. I think sometimes these people are too sensitive and are so used to looking for patriarchy that they see it everywhere they go, even in places where it's not really there. I'd hate for that old stereotype of the Unfunny Feminist to be true, y'know.
