1. My username is shadowesque13 because...
The name 'Shadowesque' is one that's stuck with me for many, many years now, even since my days at the old Connor Trinneer boards. I thought adding 'esque' on to the end of stuff sounded awesome and creative. Shadow more likely than not came from Shadow the Hedgehog. And since I was the pre-teen that I was then when I came up with the name, shadows and dark shit were awesome.
Most places I register to, 'Shadowesque' is taken, so I slap 13 on, since that's my (cliched, I know) fave number. Most of the time I stop checking anymore and just stick the 13 on anyway.
2. My name is Æ- apocalypse in 4... 3... 2... because...
When I was remaking my journal layout, I had a thing for random symbols. It just for some reason seemed to work with the apocalypse bit. Which is also a partial quote from the Andrea Gibson poem which is quoted on my sidebar there.

They go together. Quote, also on the sidebar, by Ratchet off of Transformers Animated in his character episode, "Thrill of the Hunt". For some reason, it's one of my fave quotes. The scene is a flashback of his days in the war, fixing up an intelligence officer, Arcee, in the middle of a battlefield.

That's probably one of the best descriptions of me ever and goes along with the Transformers theme I've got going (see the quote above, and also see my journal layout). First, the fannish reasons: I love the Cons. They've got some fun characters, and I just love rooting for the badguys. Megatron is a far superior leader than Optimus can ever hope to be. But they also have some characters I detest. And while taking over the world to take over another world to conquer the galaxy is awesome... Then there are the Bots, who, lets face it, have some really great characters I've grown attached to. And I LIKE my planet, kthnx.
Less fannish reasons: I'm not a bad guy. I'm not the villain, just the anti-hero. Chaos, anarchy, what have you. I'm not looking to kill people or anything. But I love the bad guy persona. I'm an asshole who speaks her mind and doesn't take shit. But I'm probably a good person at heart.
