No, mother, I do NOT want to turn
Andrea Gibson down because you think I'm playing her too loud. (Thanks
atalantapendrag! :D I love her!)
The only decent things today about TK-day are: Virginia forests = highly beautiful, new puppies = ALJIOJ*U*@(U FUZZBALLS OF CUTE, and...I guess...listening to whatever me and my brother wanted? I dunno. Did Green Bay win? That would be another plus if they did.
I've never been a believer in the power of TK-day. Sorry.
We went to Blockbusters on Wednesday. Picked up Mario&Sonic, eee~ and bro also got Call of Duty 3. M&S is lots of lame fun. XD BTW, is the high jump supposed to be hard? Because all I did with Sonic on my FIRST TRY and it wasn't even on easy was do the exact same thing over and over and broke 2.6m (the highest you CAN go). And I was better than bro at archery, but daaaaamn is that thing hard to aim. The more you play it, the more logical fallacies you find, which make it that much more ludacris and amusing. (Like--why is Shadow even THERE in the first place, and why can't he use his skate shoes (especially in stuff like, I dunno, SWIMMING, in which case he would turn into a jetski). And the usual Sonic+Shadow = fastest beings on the DAMN PLANET, therefore will outdo a fat plumber (and, uh, EGGMAN) any day in a footrace.) But hee.
Bro and I watched Sicko tonight (cuz it's due back tomorrow). How is Michael Moore SO AMAZING? He can be hilarious and provocative at the SAME TIME. And it's movies like this that turn people like us into revolutionaries. Why DON'T we have universal health care? Because of the profit. The money. While we? Get left on the streets if we can't pay.
I like this bit from Wiki: "Some policy specialists have praised the film whilst others have criticised the film for its positive portrayal of the publicly funded health systems of Canada, the United Kingdom and Cuba, and for its negative portrayal of the health care system in the United States."
Dudes? That's the point of this movie. That's the POINT OF THIS MOVIE. If it was a movie praising the US health care system, it would not be this movie.
I loved the one scene where they're all on the way to Gitmo (that's Guantanamo Bay), and it cuts to a bit saying that by US law, they can't show how they get there. It made me LAUGH SO HARD, because...they're going from Miami...to Cuba. How does one NOT KNOW how to get from Miami to Cuba?
Oh Ra, and this one bit where a woman is talking to Bush who says she's working 3 jobs, and he says that's fantastic, and people are clapping. My bro had to back it up and we had to see it again, because I was so completely dumbfounded by this. It's GOOD that she needs to work 3 jobs?!
Show me the path to revolution, and I'll follow it.
My bro has Will They Ever Trust Us Again?, a book by Michael Moore. I should read it.
