Hmm, if you're having problems with the PowerPoint program itself *hasn't read the f-list yet to see what you've said previously* did you try another software? I recommend OpenOffice as it's free, is set up pretty much like Microsoft products and I've never had a problem opening stuff in it. You can still save to the PowerPoint file extension when you're done editing it.
