Eeeee~, I've got a shiny new Doctor/Master-based desktop. IS PURDY, YUS
Also, I read a few days ago in the new issue of Newsweek (GASPAGE, I can READ stuff about the WORLD AROUND US?!?!) about this book, The World Without Us, which talks about...well, the title speaks for itself. In the article, it mentioned the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement, or VHEMT.
I know what you're thinking: 'Oh, of COURSE Shadow would like a group that calls for Human extinction, seeing as she's an antisocial bitch', but I implore you, at least give the site a small checking out. It's not what it seems.
All it calls for is for people to stop having children. Or, if you have children, stop where you are. It's not saying 'kill everybody'. The motto is "may we live long and die out". I think one of the best parts about the site is how funny they are. They're serious about the message, but they realize that humour is just as important as being serious, making them seem friendly, and they also realize that this is something that has a 99.99999% chance of failing. I mean, getting every person on the planet to stop reproducing? Pfft, yeah, right, but the sentiment behind it is good--and even having some people thinking about it and saying 'you know what, I don't think I'll create another life to put on this world', well, all the better.
Also, less than 6 hours until Potterdammerung. I can't wait. I want to drive by B&N just to see how long the line is. XD
I finally got back to drawing. Sketching my Sonic-style otter!Ten more. I've got a list of things to draw, all having something to do with DW, many to do with meta and/or RS. XD I'm actually pretty damn glad of the way it's starting to come out, even if it is still sketchy and annoying, because it's a very rough draft in a style I haven't tried in about a year at least I think. So. Yay for me? :P
Been searching colleges. Apparently collegeboard.com has a search engine in it, and a damn good one. I don't even have to log in to see it. Now that I've got colleges narrowed down to less than 300...(less than 100 if I choose to go with schools on my list that accept less than 50%, which I'm considering), NOW, now comes the part where I'm really clueless as to what I'm looking for/how to pick out of them. But hey, it's a start.
So Canary and I last night came up with a new HP ship that you will all lurve as soon as we possibly post the thing we're writing for crack purposes which won't be for days because of Book 7 kthnx.
Oh, and since I'm getting it tomorrow morning, don't expect me to be on, oh, at all. :D
