I'll probably be playing around with my layout all weekend, so if at any point(s) it looks majorly fucked up, well, that'll be it. I should seriously learn me some CSS. I just can't really stand it much anymore, but I don't know enough coding to go make my own uber-awesome thing. So y'know. Playing.
At long last it's Friday (morning). I think what I'm gonna do all day is read me lots of Battle Royale. I really wanna get through it and maybe start bringing House of Leaves to school with me instead of saying that I'll read it at home when everyone knows all I do at home is sit on the computer and RP. Or be lazy. Not that BR's bad, of course! I just have those two thick books and plenty of OTHER thick books on my pile, along with even OTHER books that I'd always meant to read but never did--and there're like 50 other books I wanna buy. >>
I told mum and dad that HP7 is coming out a little after Order of the Phoenix hits theaters. She said about pre-ordering it, which is nice, but, uh, since it's the last book, and it's summer, I'd really like to go to a midnight opening. Just once. Dressed up as Hermione and all, as usual. I should say that. Just to get the thought out there. I think it would mostly depend on what day that ends up landing on.
Another thing I really need to tell mum and dad about is ZOMG FAREWELL FLIGHT IS COMING HERE ON THE 9TH. The last time they were anywhere near, dad wouldn't let me go. But this is close, it's IN TOWN and all! I could get the new EP, I hope! And guess what else? They said that they're not doing anymore EPs. The next thing they release is a full length album. I am uber-excited off my seat, yo. I hope I get to go. Starts at 7 on a Tuesday night.
Watching Enterprise we've recorded with mum (since we watch a thing or two else Monday nights and it's not always prudent to sit in front of the t.v. for 4 hour straight every Monday) has made me crave pineapple cake. >> And a bit of peanut butter. Oh Ent. Luff of my life. And let's not forget "Shuttlepod One". Dude, like everyone, even non-fans, seem to know that epi. I should bring my Malcolm action figure with me to school again. And replace the power cell battery in my phase pistol. Maybe get my communicator top fixed so it doesn't fly off when I dramatically flip it open. And dust off my battle-scarred NX-01. Y'know when I heard those were coming out, reading an issue of Star Trek Communicator I picked up when the old news stand was still by the shopping center? They said only 5,000 were out. Think that was still true after a while? I dunno. I misseth my show.
Speaking of shows, I dunno if I'm ever gonna catch up with Studio 60. I'll at least watch the epi with Heroes-ness in it. :D And I saw a preview for (last night's) ER the other day (forgot about it) that I thought I'd watch because of Luka in Major Danger and Pain. I luffs me some Luka. I have no idea what's going on in ER anymore. Dropped out like two seasons ago. Right around when Carter left.
I miss my Fridays and my Wednesdays being full. But guess what? LOST COMES BACK NEXT WEEK. Kick some freakin' ass, yo. I don't care if this season has sucked so far. You get to missing something when it's been off for months *COUGH*Stargate:Atlantis*COUGH*.
It's no longer morning right now, but that's because I couldn't post this up before I had to get to school. Y'know how you feel when you put on an outfit that makes you feel sexy? All that confidence and stuff? That made me feel great. Clacking of my boots, tight jeans that went well with my sweet red top--I felt like I could take on the world. That kinda thing. Man was that nice.
It's snowing now, finally, like they said it was gonna last night. Right before Winterfest, too. That was the topic of conversation all day. And all Spanish class, people were talking about a thing the principal did, gathering up everyone who was going and giving them a talking-too. They were all talking (very, very loudly) about the age limits for drinking and the definition of being an adult, not even bothering with our assignment (the teacher was all a part of it, too--and the thing we're doing, I hate it, I think it's stupid, I'm not motivated at all)--I couldn't get much reading done then, which pissed me off. I couldn't stand it. Spending just five minutes in the restroom was preferable, all that nice silence. Gah. But I did get a lot of reading done today, so yay. :D BR's kinda like Lord of the Flies, except better by infinity. It's not the gore, that's not what it's about. It's about the characters and how they psychologically handle it all. I'll download that movie soon. My bro did years ago and showed it to me, which is why I want the manga and wanted the book. Never saw the 2nd one, tho I hear it sucks. He downloaded the soundtrack.
Dude, tho, first period is chem, and we have a test Monday, so we were to do review questions and stuff. But for the first time all year, there was a sub. Who didn't care what we did. Kick. Freaking. Ass. Today was just like the mother of all days great (when compared to how moody and miserable I've been lately).
Chris didn't like American Gods, so he gave it to me. *adds to ever-growing pile* This is why I don't think it's prudent to go to Borders with Ari over the weekend like she wants to. :P Even if we just sit there reading all day, I wouldn't be able to finish a book, so I'd have to buy it. Although, I do still need to get the DW script book, and if it's still there... Could always buy me some BR manga and a tarot card set, too. And that Gemini 2007 horoscope book. 's weird how I say I don't believe in the stuff but I find it so interesting to see what it says anyway.
I had my report card held a day because I didn't turn in county chorus music, but I got it yesterday. How the hell did I manage a 99% in chem and dropped to 83% (from 84) in English? How did my Spanish grade go up so much? ...No, really, how the hell with a 99? Ah well. I am NOT complaining. Which means mum'n'dad'n'I are gonna head to Blockbusters sometime next week.
It's nice and warm in the house. Mum said she's getting me some strawberry shortcake. That's because of Enterprise, along with the pineapple cake and peanut butter, she asked about my fave food, which is, of course, strawberry shortcake. And I don't mean a dessert thing, I mean mum's homemade stuff. It wins a lot. I wanna bake the stuff, figure out how to work the new stove.
I went back to Gaia Online for the first time in months. Man, I'mma get suck back into that quick as anything.
I was thinking I might walk somewhere after school today, do a little this and that, but not with the snow. I'm content right here. I'mma go play around with making icons now.
