Don't pre-order from ToyWiz.com
Just don't. Back in July of this year I pre-ordered what was supposed to be a Christmas Present from my mom (as she paid for it). It was supposed to be all three sizes of the Tomy Fennekin plush. I pre-ordered them because I thought I may not be able to find them in stores near by, as this was an issue for all sorts of things in the past.
Plus, at that time Toywiz hadn't jacked up their prices yet (which is something they do in alot of cases after the items have come out in stores). So, October starts & Toys R Us got the 8 inch size ones in already. I figured Toywiz will ship my stuff soon & that this was just a bit of a delay. On game release day-even gamestop had all three starters but I got no shipping notice for my order.
I waited until the end of October before contacting them about it. I asked if the keychain size could be shipped separately since it wasn't in yet. They refused saying that they can't do that with people who have paid with paypal (why!!??),so I will have to wait until all of them come in.
In the beginning of December, people on pkmncollectors posted about the keychain size showing up at Nintendo World. So I thought I would be able to get all my Fennekins before Christmas.
Nope. Christmas comes & goes without a shipping notice or any other sort of email from them. So, two days after Christmas I call their customer service about it. The operator in a rather annoyed tone tells me " we emailed you in October about this,we can't ship them until all of them come in". Okay,for one- that was two months ago! Two, all three sizes are listed as in stock on their website.
I tell them this and they put me on hold to check about them. They say they weren't able to cover all pre-orders with the first tray (for the 8 inch size) but they just got in another tray so they should be able to ship out my order that day or tomorrow.
I got an email today saying that they are out of stock of the 8 inch size and they will not be getting anymore in. They will ship out the other two immediately & will give me a refund for that one. (No actual confirmation of any of this as of posting though...)
All that waiting for a bunch of BS. I waited for months after the release date for two of them, but I only get one. Now they aren't even in stores anymore- I have only seen Froakie left or nothing at all. :c
Toywiz is okay for MLP pre-orders & in-stock items but for a Pokemon pre-order, this is what I got. A big run-around.
