I'm working on an original short story that's looking to be much longer than and very different from my previous stuff. Currently a little sketchy on this one, but we'll see. In the course of writing the first part, however, (there's three parts, you see) I inadvertently wrote The Best Paragraph Ever, and, since I know you wait with bated breath for my next post (*sarcasm*), here's a cookie:

I would swear there was music in the black that washed over me, the sound and fury of synapses fighting their last brawl. It may have been angel choirs singing a great welcome, but it sure sounded like Elvis.
