Oh how I love this story. I've probably read it 6 times and this, most likely, makes 7. It is by far, my all-time favorite. (Secretly, I've always hoped you'd write a sequel.) LOL Not necessarily turn it into a novel of epic proportions, but if nothing else, another one-shot, another encounter. Lestat would obsess over something like Erik and watch him from a distance, follow him, watch him, breathe him in. And this encounter would change Erik. In his own world he thinks himself invincible, to encounter the power of an other-worldly creature of the night, in my opinion it would rattle him because he doesn't understand it.
Ok, I'm done babbling. Bravo my dear...once again, bravo.
PURR! But it doesn't have to specifically be a Christmas present; reading Erik and Lestat makes any day a special occasion. I simply love the juxtoposition of the two of them. Lestat's power is something Erik could never champion. Lestat would enjoy playing with Erik's new found fear of the unkown much like a cat swats at a toy mouse.
Although, the perfect combination of anger, sadness and complete loneliness that makes up Erik could ultimately weaken Lestat - he is a schmoopie for that sort of pain in his own Vamp way. LOL
::sits back:: ::grabs bowl of popcorn:: ::waits patiently::
I'm sure your other readers will also enjoy the tale should you choose to write another.
