Lisa has been busy for a while now.
A few weeks back, after much thought - and more than a little parental funding - she moved into her own place. It's just a small flat in southern Cambridge (yes, the American one, not the British one) so she can stay near to Wes, Methos, and Kara. It wasn't an easy decision, but eventually, it became clear that she needed somewhere to be alone, somewhere that didn't remind her of the Cruciamentum.
She can't get it out of her head. Day after day, she tells herself that she survived.
Day after day, she doesn't know why.
But she made herself get a life. She organised herself a job, working for Reginald Wattrel, Accountant - who is not as well-behaved and dull as he first appeared. This change of lifestyle meant sunlight. It did not, however, hinder the slaying. By day, she is Miss Weston, Office Assistant. By night, she is Lisa, a Vampire Slayer.
It would be funny if it wasn't alarmingly common nowadays.
One afternoon, she returns to her apartment, dropping her keys into the pot by the door, and wondering what the rest of the world is doing. Wandering into her room, she fires up her computer and updates her LJ with the following:
Subject: I Am Still Alive, Honest
I realise I haven't been all that involved in... well... any of your lives recently. But... I feel I ought to be. So, if anyone out there can face talking to me... I'd like to do something. Anything.
I promise not to bring the katana unless I will need it.
Satisfied, she hits the post button, and flops back on her bed, staring at the ceiling.
