The new remake of The Chronicles of Narnia - The lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is being released on the 26th of December. I most certainly will be seeing this film after downloading a trailer for it. But however, I feel obliged to read the books before I see the movie as it is a classic piece of text that should have been read by everyone at some time in their life. I feel my time has now come to take a step out of my ignorance! I also maintain my strong opinion that a book that has been made into a film should be read before the film is watched.

As many of you will know from the Harry Potter films, you only get to see and sometimes only get to understand, a very small portion of the real story by viewing the film first. Without the prior knowledge that can be gained from the book, a vast majority of the audience can be lost and confused by such a movie as Harry Potter which has large chunks of the story missing.

But at this stage in my thinking I am faced with quite a large predicament! I don't own The Chronicles of Narnia, nor can I be bother going to the local library out of sheer self induced laziness and lack of energy. I also have but 14 days until the movie is released and I am currently rereading Eragon. Oh, and I don't have enough money to go and buy the books for myself.

So, as you many have, or many not have deduced by your own mental capabilities and observational skills...I am struggling against laziness and my own high standard of moral. The ultimate question is…morals vs. laziness. At this stage, I make the decision to throw morals to the wind, go and watch the fricken movie and read the books as soon as possible to make up for forsaking my morals!
