A silly monolgue I plan to use in drama some day!
An entire inspirational speech based around…vegemite? He expects me to write an inspirational speech about vegemite! We are riding to war, under his banner and he wants a speech about vegemite? Oh, a terrible and fearsome king he is indeed! What, does he plan to inspire courage into the hearts of the men that are sacrificing their lives for his kingdom with words of vegemite? Yet another meaningless and degrading task set to me, he will discredit me and make a laughing stock out of me to eliminate the threat I pose to his rule. Perhaps I’ll write this pathetic speech, my way, with a slight mention of vegemite to satisfy the King. A tale of battles being fought and the soldiers being kept alive by mere rations of vegemite, at least that might brighten their outlook to their lousy rations of tubes of vegemite and crackers. Ha! Before long the King will have his war, but it will not be one of his liking! For now however, I will play his pathetic game but my time will come. I will turn his own people against him, and rise up from this position of disrespect and claim the world as my own! I shall also rid the world of all traces of vegemite.
