(309): adding to the list of how to lure in freshman boys: take dogs for a walk, yell at them from across the street, sit on the curb at 3 in the morning sobbing
http://tfl.nu/dxv4 I have officially moved up (maybe more laterally) in the world! I have moved into a new apartment (which really means I have moved back in to the dorms), but it's nice and I don't have to pay for it! I'll be real, as a graduate student, not paying for your housing is a pretty big deal. The strange quirk to this is I now see a lot of underclassmen... and a LOT of freshman (did I ever look so young and hopeful?!)
Anyway, I live. Let's talk about the internet.
i.
The argument for swallowing? ii.
This video amused me far too much. It is subtitled and work appropriate. Somehow the expressions are so much how I feel like I look when I don't like something. I laughed probably much more than I should have.
iii. It was interesting to watch all the politics this summer. This is really the first time I've ever read the news on a regular basis (thank you experiments for having weird time intervals), so I got to actually read as things unfolded. Most interesting and no lie sometimes I felt like I was watching some strange soap opera...
iv. Strip clubs: Let me have a weird amount to say about them. But perhaps that is a story for another post. I guess I was just surprised by
this article... and confused why on earth I would need to know about the preferences of the GOP for their strippers?
v. I did participate in
reversathon this year which was an interesting experience. I sort of let my fic consume me for a bit and I can honestly say that I didn't hate the way it ended up. I do think I could have made it much much longer if I had the time/energy, but it was difficult enough as it was! Reveals are next week, but please go read the fics! There are some pretty excellent rare pairs as well as the usual array :)
vi. I've been missing trek fic. I've been rereading a lot and them HP has been my flavor this summer:)
♥ Hope everyone is doing well!
