Advanced forms of Googling
My mind is dribbling. I mostly feel crazy today.
There are some skills that I believe are somewhat necessary in modern society. Learning to run in heels may not be one of them, but since I only tend to wear heels while wearing clothing and jewelry of the nicer sort, I thought that I should learn this skill Just In Case.
There are a few different trains of thought regarding the best way to run in heels.
1. Normal running
I tried this and almost died and broke my ankle simultaneously.
2. Skipping
Go ahead and get your stiletto stuck in a sidewalk crack or a grate... it is not fun. There isn't as much of a flat base with heels which means that skipping, instead of a pleasant activity, is transformed into something like a walking on a rickety balance beam.
3. Take off your shoes and risk the tetanus
Most effective method tried...although admittedly not the most comfortable and I fear broken glass.
And if nothing else, buy a wombat, stick it in your purse and if you need to run and let the wombat free to attack whoever is bugging you!
Has anyone perfected this? What is the secret?!

1. Teahouse is a beautifully drawn webcomic about.... basically an escort company. Not really worksafe, but I am really enjoying it so far and the drawings/costumes are so detailed!
2. A Priori + sequels by rubberbutton is a Sherlock Holmes fic with vampires! I was originally a bit skeptical, but rubberbutton did an awesome job with the world building and actually having a plot (poor John is a bit entangled). There is sort of an understated Holmes/Sherlock in it. Well worth a read even if your are not in the fandom.
3. If I Knew You Were Coming I'd Have Baked A Cake by silverlining_99 Food + Sex and well written to boot! Just a great pick me up fic! Kirk/McCoy | R.
4. Chasing pirates by red_rahl. Hilarious and well done comic! Harry/Draco | NC-17
Started my new internship this week. I do very much like the people and while the company itself has some highly interesting information coming in and out of it, my project for the next week is essentially to google a lot of people.
I also don't like wake up and leave before 8AM... it's killing my sanity slowly.
