ii.I'm like on a sugar high right now. Peanut butter cookies and strawberry smoothies.
Yes, I know that sugar highs aren't real, but I AM EVIDENCE! Sometimes, if I eat overly sweet things my hands start to shake and I feel faint!
I did really like the peanut butter recipe as it was SUPER simple, chewy, and tasted like... peanut butter!
1 cup peanut butter (chunky, smooth, panicked-- doesn't matter)
3/4 cup of sugar (I used white, but I think next time I'll use half brown at least-- I am vaguely concerned that the cookies will be too crumbly, but I think it'll have a better taste)
1 Egg
1 tsp baking soda
1. Preheat oven to 350 F
2. Using hand/stand mixer (or someone with arm stamina ) mix together peanut butter and sugar- it'll be crumbly
3. Add in egg and baking soda until everything is mixed. It'll still be a crumbly dough.
4. PAM a cookie sheet. Press the dough into small balls and place on tray. They will spread a little.
5. Bake 12-14 minutes. Pull out of oven. Let cool at least 5 minutes before moving to plate/ wherever-- they tended to fall apart if we tried to move them before they were set, but they held together once they were cool!

iii. What I would really like to do tonight is write and read some fic. What I need to do tonight is read Madame Bovary and edit my paper (of which the version I turned in was so awful I am embarrassed to even reread it) so I do not fail this class.

Summary: Written for iss_enterprise's Tentacle fest. Basically, McCoy is a gift to a tentacled alien (Sparky) and is sort of fascinated with McCoy's apparent compulsion to heal and help people. Mirror!verse
My Thoughts: So, I was slightly disturbed by this fic, but it's because it's described in a way that you can empathize with McCoy who is in this pretty awful position. I'll admit, the fic itself is rather addictive. Kirk can't seem to understand McCoy lack of compulsion to hurt people and I think is starting to fall under McCoy's spell a little. Against all odds, I do sort of like the alien, Sparky who basically does all sorts of things to McCoy (which sort of disturbs me), but in it's own way cares about McCoy very deeply. A very interesting read because it's so much more than just tentacles.
