Interesting

So, I apparently made a post last night... I think I might have done it as I was falling asleep. I would love to tell you that it was because I was out partying, but in reality I ate dinner, did some triathalon training, made cookies, and then sort of fell asleep while attempting to type out an entry.

But yes.

Consequences.

I should think I would like to see a mirror!verse-type fic of Harry/Draco. I was thinking while there are fics that feature dark!Harry, I guess I don't see as many where Draco is "good". While I completely understand the complexity of writing a character that essentially redeems himself in most ways toward the end of the story, I don't think Draco's inherent nature is ever changed. Draco is a rather static character with regards to his selfish motivations. Admittedly, he loves his family, but I have to wonder how much he really likes them. Sometimes I forget that in the HP books these characters are 16/17 and their choices are inevitably clouded by their lack of experience amongst other things (WHATS IN HARRY'S PANTS?!):)

Anyway, I realized I haven't read a dark! Harry fic in like... years. Go figure. Suggestions?

Title: Sweat
Summary: Jim and Bones kiss.
Authors notes: More in the Camels verse! The next big section is still sort of a mess:) Accept me.

Jim and Bones first kiss like this:

It’s summer on the Enterprise.

Or so Scotty jokes when he informs them that all the auxiliary power including climate control have to be diverted to maintaining the thrusters as they limp back toward a base for repairs.

After about five hours it smelled.

Like ass.

People were tired, dirty, and hot and McCoy was working on hauling one of the larger machines that had broken in the inertia of the last battle. Chapel, even in a dress as insignificant as hers, was unbuttoning her top. McCoy opened his mouth, but closed it and decided to take off his shirt. He was working in the back room where there wasn’t anything there to get contaminated or anyone to accuse him of being unprofessional. He had been in there at least for half an hour trying to move the boxes around the machine when Jim appeared behind him.

“Are you going to watch me or help?” McCoy asked without turning around.

“Bones…”

“What?” McCoy asked turning around. Jim was pale, but there wasn’t any blood on him and he wasn’t that pale. It just looked like he hadn’t slept in 36 hours.

“Jim--“ McCoy managed to get out before Jim crashes to the ground. McCoy is on the floor next to him taking his pulse without running back to get a tricorder.

“Goddammit, Jim!” McCoy muttered as he leaned forward to breathe life into his best friend’s lungs.

The sweat is dripping down his face and Jim’s lips taste like apples. McCoy hates apples. And he hesitated for a second after the first compression. Jim opens his eyes and McCoy’s mouth was so close.

Jim moved first.
