So...My father is the kind of person who hated Hot Fuzz, my sister is the kind of person who hated Pan's Labyrinth, and my mother is the type to ask loud, inane questions over everything ("Why are they wearing so much black?" during the Matrix, for example). How I have gone so long without smothering these people in their sleep, I have no idea.
