My So-Called Life
The show that got me through my first year of middle school, more specifically the sixth grade, and even more specifically: puberty. It only lasted half a season, but its raw subject matter changed the way we watch television, and paved the way for upcoming series filled with real subject matter and even, dare I say, reality tv.
This weekend I bought the box set. It's crazy how almost 14 years later, I still remember this pilot like it was the sixth grade all over again. Fortunately, it's not 1994 -- and i can reminisce about the '90s with this box set... or by listening to WAY too much Nirvana and Green Day cassette tapes.
