So, I made 20th chair, 1st band at All-Region tryouts today. It's good, but I don't get to audition for all-state, which is somewhat dissapointing. I'll live, though.

Anyway, yesterday, I went to Missouri State. I really like it. I met with Dr. Collins, who is one of the piano professors there, and he made me feel really comfortable about auditioning, which I'll do March 10th. I'm still going to be a piano major, too, instead of composition like I thought I might do. And I'll be in choir too, which is funny, since I was only in choir for 3 days in 7th grade. Dr. Collins said that it wasn't a big deal, as most piano majors join choir because they can't be in band since they don't play another instrument. I turned in my application for the Presidential Scholarship, which will cover everything cost-wise, except for books. Right now, my entire tuition will be covered, but not room, board, fees, and books, which is still quite a chunk of change.

Anyway, I'm excited about going to Missouri State. I feel like it is unneccessary to audition anywhere else, because anywhere else is unaffordable.

On another note, my throat is in excrutiating pain. My tonsils are inflamed, it seems. I guess I have some sort of infection. Gross. It REALLY hurts to swallow anything, even liquids. Unfortunately, if I don't eat and drink, I'll die.
