Write a letter. Save a Fair.

Jul 10, 2008 11:11

This is an E-mail from The host of Washington's Renaissance fair. The quick and dirty is that the Ren fair moved this year from their normal spot in port orchard to Mason county because the fair has grown quite a bit in the last few years. Work was started a few months ago to start clearing the land for the fair and campgrounds. just resonantly the county came forward and said that the hosts needed to have permits to even have a fair on the property. But now the County is denying the permits to the Ron(the host). There is going to be a county vote on the 15th on whether or not the fair will be allowed to actually happen. some people of Mason county do not want for there to be a fair and have set up a petition to stop Ron from being able to get the permits. in the email below there is contact information for people you can send your support in favor of the fair. So if you have been to fair, want to go to fair, or just want to support a fun event for the good of all Please show your support.

July 15th Mason County Commissioners will be voting on the final approval for the temporary permit to allow us to run the Washington Renaissance Faire.

Unfortunately the Commissioners have been hearing constantly from a small but passionate and very vocal few who oppose our event.

We would like to ask that you contact the commissioners and respectfully voice your support so that when they vote, they know thee is a very large majority of supporters.

Ross Gallagher: rossg@co.mason.wa.us
Linda Ring Erickson: lyndare@co.mason.wa.us

Please pass this message to anyone who you believe may be interested in showing their support.

Your help and support is deeply appreciated, we are down to the wire and we need this permit.

Thank you.

Ron
