Better Late Than Never!
Look! I'm alive and updating, and it's a big one! Well, maybe not in size, but in information. Here we go...*deep breath*
I'm...um...married. Yeah, you read right. I'm wearing a shiny little wedding band as of Tuesday earlier this week. It was just a Justice of the Peace thingy, but we're having a real ceremony up in Kansas City on the 7th of next month. Patti, or as some of you from IRC know her, Loretta, and mine's family will finally be meeting for the first time. It should be entertaining, to say the least.
For those of you that don't know, I work at Wal-Mart now, as of February 2nd this year. I'm a sales associate in the garden center. It's not too terrible of a job, though the pay currently sucks. I work evenings, typically from 4-11 PM during the weekdays, and 4-12 on the weekends. The people I work with are pretty cool, though, so it's all good. We were seriously understaffed for a while, but we just got two new folks so it's all good now.
Whenever I'm not at work or spending time with Patti, I spend a lot of my free time on a MUD called Ivalice, where I'm currently part of the staff as an Event Enforcer. What that means is that I assist in creating things for the various players to do, ranging from simply planning the event to actually creating everything involved, all the way to actually being the host. Being the host typically includes roleplaying as well. Yep, that's right, I do indeed still RP. Just not on IRC, sadly. If any of you happen to be interested in checking Ivalice out, lemme know sometime and I'll give you the information and such! My name there is Kailadan.
The weather here has been crazy lately. We've had absurd amounts of rainfall, resulting in flooding all over the place. So far, nothing has been bad enough to effect me directly, and I pray that it stays that way. I just got over what was either a crazy stomach virus or food poisoning, so I really don't feel like going back to the hospital again!
