One Piece Edition
Darnnit...so close to four days in a row...
Anyway, I went to that Japanese store today again and I hung out with people. It was fun.
Tomorrow, we are going to Elmira just because XD. There will probbaly be something to do there XD.
OMG. I saw the new One Piece dub last night. Funimation now runs it, I love this dub. For those who have fogotten because I have been gona SO LONG, I love One Piece. I watched many, MANY epiodes of it in Japanese. Knowing 4kids, they took the show when it was shipped to the US AND BUTCHERED IT SO BAD!!! Horrible voice acting, unnecessary censorship, and just...everything about it was bad. When I heard that 4kids dumped the project and handed it over to Funimation, I went "YAY!" They were gonna fix the bad boy right up. I saw the show last night on Toonami and in the first few seconds of it, it was already billions better. I alerted my friend who also likes this show alot and I went, "OMG!!! THE ONE PIECE DUB IS FREAKING WATCHABLE NOWZ!!!!!!!!!" In the entire time we were talking, we praised and noted what was better. Here, I'll list them:
1. Voices have gotten better. MUCH BETTER. I can't even truly explain how much better. But all of the characters voices have improved greatly. They are actually very good, in my opinion.
2. Censorship has highly dimmed down. Most of the original content is back except for maybe some stuff that's not appropriate for Cartoon Network before AS. I'm not phased; Funimation says they will release the DVD's with complete uncut material, or so I heard from local anime fans. YAYZ.
3. They got rid of the lame 4kids opening and ending credits and put THE ORIGINAL JAPANESE OPENING AND ENDING IN IT. SUPER YAYZ.
4. I think the original Japanese soundtrack is in this, but I have to keep watching to make sure.
I think I will actually tune in every week to watch One Piece now that the American version is more than plenty bearable. I'm glad because I haven't watched One Piece in forever and I would love to get myself into it.
