Wow, has it really been two months since I've written something here?
I'm on Livejournal/Dreamwidth basically every day and read, or at least skim, the entries my friends write but I find little inspiration or time to write anymore. Maybe I'm just not making time to write, that's probably a better way to put it. What with working 12 hour days sometimes going for more than a week without a day off at all leaves little time for Kevin, Nikolai, some me time and sleep. I know I've been cutting in to sleep time just to have time to spend doing the things that are important to me and my little family. Running on 5 or 6 hours sleep a night will eventually catch up with you. :P
I could get really long winded here and tell you all of the things that are going on in my life and I'd probably be here a few hours wriiting it all down. LOL So here are the highlights.
Work is busy, busy, busy.....did I say busy?
Kevin is doing well and just celebrated a birthday of a number that shall not be mentioned. ^.~
Nikolai just celebrated his 7th...really? Is it 7 already? Seems like only yesterday he was this little ball of malamute fluff puking on me in the truck on the way back from Winterset, Iowa.
The Ram is in the shop recovering from a wreck. Took it to Firestone two weeks back for brakes and tires. They took it out for a test drive after performing the work and promptly wrecked it. $5,000 in damage. I should have it back in another week or so. Firestone is footing the bill of course and have put me up in a fairly snazzy 2011 Silverado extended cab.
I've managed to finish my first WoW raid at level. Got my first Ragnaros kill a few weeks back and now basically the whole Firelands raid is farm with Rag still being a touch of a challenge.
Autumn has arrived to north Texas and it is a much welcome change. Kevin and I were laughing at it being 54F last night. 20 days prior to that it was 108.
My interest in all things pagan has been renewed thanks to stumbling across a rather humorous, fun pagan podcast.
I'm rarely online anymore unless it's to talk to a very few friends or sometimes just one. A connection with someone I've known for a while has strengthed and I find it very comfortable to talk to him about anything that might be on my mind. He's a unicorn. There's a shock. :D
All in all everyone at Casa de Unicorn is doing just fine and life goes on at a hectic pace.
Be well my friends
