Kelly Green Legacy - Gen 1.3

Previously: Kelly, our ghost-hunting heroine, ventured to Egypt to explore, and then to France to find love. She did, in the form of an Egyptian explorer, and invited him to visit her in dear old Twinbrook. This picks up right where 1.2 left off.
At least he's got the right thing on his mind.
Amun quickly adapts to Kelly's daily routine :)

I was trying to get a photo of them spooning, but was thwarted when Kelly leapt out of bed because...We have ignition!
Pretty much all Amun does is play video games on the PC. This does not bode well for the future, but I’m ignoring it.
Going steady!
Well, moving along at a suitable pace...
Amun: ZOMG.
Amun: Yes, of course!
He strikes me as a little bit fruity, sometimes.
For some reason, my computer alerted me to this. I don’t think this skin has a pregnancy morph.
Or that outfit. Or something.
And I apparently can’t change her clothes once she’s pregnant?! Why is this?
I should really have played with age-progressing Sims more often, huh?
These are such noobish questions.

And yes that is a wedding guest in the background riding a bike in a period hoop skirt.
I want to have the wedding at the park by the bay in Twinbrook but then no one will come down by the water in order for me to take pretty pictures and then all of a sudden AMUN LEAVES and I’m like FUCK.
So I exit without saving because I don’t really want to have wedding pictures with Kelly in her baby clothes anyway.
This time I have the party at the house, so I can be sure to get Amun while he’s still here. I wish there was a bar that told you how much time they have left. Still, no one will come to the backyard to watch the wedding.
But for whatever reason, it doesn’t work. Someone gets distracted by something and wanders off.
So, take two.
I don’t care what you look like, JUST GET MARRIED.

Third time's the charm?
OH THANK GOD YES.
And they’re wed! Yay, my legacy shall be legitimate!
Kelly announces the pregnancy to Amun. Yet Amun still hasn’t’ been added to the household. WTf… why? And Kelly doesn’t have the move in option. I have to get it quick before Amun leaves again.
For now, I’ve asked him to stay the night.

Kelly rolls a want to have a girl, so we get right on that.
Amun finally moves in!
I have a hard time deciding what clothes to put him in. I’m so used to seeing him in his Egypt garb, but I don’t want him walking around like that inTwinbrook. I finally settle on a hugh hefner esque look, which I think suits his relaxed and goofy personality.
Why can’t pregnant women use showers? & yes, Kelly’s neat, so the sink is driving her nuts. She cleans like a banshee, and I have to keep telling Amun to pick up after her. She’s pregnant, dude! Pick up the slack!
Kelly’s late in her pregnancy, but they’re nearly out of money. I guess you don’t get paid sick days when you have a profession? I have Amun get a job as a chef, but that won’t start for a while. I elect to send Kelly out on one last errand, to drop off some spirits that I’ve forgotten were in her inventory at the lab. I know I’m cutting it close, so I cross my fingers she’ll make it. I’m fairly confident it’ll be fine, though.
Oh, SHIT.
Wait a minute... what's that in the background?
KELLY, I LOVE YOU.
Kelly, a true trooper and a freaking awesome founder, picks herself up and casually strolls over to the hospital.
Eventually Amun follows.

The dialogue box pops up, telling me it’s a girl!
I name her Andromeda. I do like themed generations and/or legacies, and I have a soft spot for Greek myths (back when I attempted Sims 2 legacies, I did a Greek names theme, too).
I will allow Wikipedia to clue us in on Andromeda's legend:

In Greek mythology, Andromeda was the daughter of Cepheus and Cassiopeia, king and queen of the kingdom Ethiopia.
Her mother Cassiopeia boasted that she was more beautiful than the Nereids, the nymph-daughters of the sea god Nereus and often seen accompanying Poseidon. To punish the Queen for her arrogance, Poseidon, brother to Zeus and god of the sea, sent a sea monster named Cetus to ravage the coast of Ethiopia including the kingdom of the vain Queen. The desperate King consulted the Oracle of Apollo, who announced that no respite would be found until the king sacrificed his daughter Andromeda to the monster. She was chained naked to a rock on the coast.
Perseus [a hero] was returning from having slain the Gorgon Medusa. He found Andromeda and slew Cetus by approaching invisible with Hades's helm and slaying him. He set her free, and married her in spite of Andromeda having been previously promised to her uncle Phineus. At the wedding a quarrel took place between the rivals, and Phineus was turned to stone by the sight of the Gorgon's head.
Now here is why I think she makes a great legacy founder's daughter:
Andromeda followed her husband to Tiryns in Argos, and together they became the ancestors of the family of the Perseidae through the line of their son Perses. Perseus and Andromeda had seven sons: Perseides, Perses, Alcaeus, Heleus, Mestor, Sthenelus, and Electryon, and two daughters, Autochthoe and Gorgophone. Their descendants ruled Mycenae from Electryon down to Eurystheus, after whom Atreus attained the kingdom, and would also include the great hero Heracles. According to this mythology, Perseus is the ancestor of the Persians.

And, of course, Andromeda is also a Constellation and a galaxy.
After naming Andromeda, I’m momentarily confused. ANOTHER dialogue box pops up, telling me the same thing. Did the first one not take? I glance and see that the baby has been added to the family, and then the penny drops.
OH, SHIT.

Real life update: My thesis defense was today... and it was accepted! I am the proud owner of an honors undergraduate thesis. :D I'll be graduating next Friday, the 11th.
