first off you are using a mac right? I know that macs require a mac compatable keyboard (which i figure you already figured out) but i'm not sure if mac's require a mac compatable monitor. I believe they do. You may want to look into that if you are not sure. I know that macs come color calibrated but can still use some tweaking from time to time and when you get in on dual displays it gets even more complicated.
