An Offer to Change My Life...?

A wizard approached me with a... proposal to cast a certain kind of spell on me. It will change my life.

It doesn't seem harmful... yet I hardly know this person. There is a risk... isn't there...

I'm not sure what I want. I don't... really know what to do.

*starts to answer, but is interrupted by another voice, as
a young cat joins them, looking up at Zephyr*

"Hello, sir. Happy New Year's."

*the new voice surprises him and he scans for the source, realizing that it was indeed the cat that had spoken*

Hi. Thank you... you, too. I assume you would be Leslie?

"Leslie Benedict, at your service,yes. "I understand most cats here don't talk. My family are from Wonderland, if you've heard of it."

Yes, I can't say that I've come across numerous cats with the ability to speak, but then again, I think the same thing could be said about trucks.

I can't say that I've heard of Wonderland, but there are a lot of things that I haven't yet learned about.

People might say the same thing about some of my friends too, or me... Well. *shrugs*

...Do you mind if I ask what 'proposal' the wizard made you,exactly?

*a bit uneasily* The wizard? He... well, basically, he proposed to make me... *quietly* to make me human.

*slowly* No.. I'm not sure at all. I'm not even sure if I should trust the wizard.

That's understandable...it's a huge change. I mean, not to sound all
lecture-girl on you. But it's a lot easier to change no to yes than the other way around.

As for trusting him, yeah--if you just met him, my tendency would be
to follow instincts. Generally if something sounds too good to be
true, there's a reason.

Yeah, that's what keeps running through my mind. And yet it's so tempting... Part of me is really wary, but the other part of me wants to go for it... *trails off*

It's not the only option, you realize. KITT himself has a cybernetic human body now, in addition to his car body...You should
ask him about that. And I've heard some of the other Foundation built AIs have the ability to change between car and human at will.

I know. *slowly* But I suppose I should decide whether I even want it or not... I'm not sure.

Something tells me I should not trust the wizard.
