^^" Well, if I follow the Japanese mainstream, I must follow SOMETHING related to my own culture right? So just after I got home from a night trip to Six Flags (it was great by the way), I saw the Mr. Hong Kong 2009 competition on TV and decided to waste the last what.... 2 hours of my life watching it. It was EXTREMELY exciting! I will explain below in more "details".
During the contest, there are basically four rounds but three rounds are pretty essential so that you earn a lot of points from the female judges (no surprise right?). The first round is the "Ability Killer" or basically what I would say is, "Surprise me!" event (you will love my broken Cantonese translations lol). It was a round where each contestant showed off his greatest ability to the judges to earn points, whether that was charisma + dancing, or what not. It was all in this round and it was amazing!
Second round was the bathing suit event... I must say, they were hot amazing since I'm sure they practiced it very very hard to pull this one off because this event basically showed their masculinity/muscles/abdominal six packs. I have a lot of favorites which I will list below~
Third round was a Quick Wit event where they are asked a random question and they'd have to answer back in a clear and precise tone as possible without pausing too much and to keep the ladies happy with their response on camera and in front of them. This round was quite boring with a few exceptions since their responses were just great~
Four round was the last round where the last three contestants compete for the title of Mr. Hong Kong 2009. They do martial arts this time for the theme which was interesting, but I won't comment too much on it because I felt that the other three were more important. xD
Contestants!!! How could I ever forget about them? =p

Source I have to say. My favorites throughout the whole thing was #1 and #7. The females sure agreed with me~ My mom was on the phone so she didn't watch it, but I watched the whole thing which was VERY exciting. Chan Wai Hung had a good smile, face, and body. Hui Ka Kit... omg I will say he is the beast of the night. He had practically everything! These two were in the final three. #8 was also, but I didn't like him really though he had good muscles.
#11, Kwok Tin Jun, was the comedian of the night though. His event for the "Ability Killer" was a romance act which he sung it out in mandarin but at the same time made it sound like it was a comedy less than a tragedy lol I can't really explain it because you really have to see it for yourself.
But back to my favorites~ Chan Wai Hung did basketball tricks for his first event (not very exciting because if you live in the US and you see people play basketball a lot, it doesn't look that impressive) but his looks caught my attention first. Second event was his best event I must say~ He got 400+ votes from the first event and then added a 600+ point boost from this event. Goes to show, he has it in him~ In the third event, he kinda stumbled a lot when answering, but the female judges digged his looks rather his smart wit lol I could clearly see it in their eyes >_>
Hui Ka Kit did an amazing show of Latin dancing for the first event. His smile was deadly I will add during that event~ It was his best performance! Second event, another hotty~ *manju gets shot* He didn't have it to match Chan Wai Hung lol but it got him past to the third round. I like his question the best because they asked if they were given the chance to be married, would they and how would they propose to the woman? He said yes and got up, took the hostess's hand and gave it a small peck. The female judges went crazy~ The hostess was the one and only Carol "Do-do" Cheng! She is amazing~ You gotta love her!
The results were... Hui Ka Kit winning first and Chan Wai Hung being the next closest by like a small amount. It was great! Sadly, I was going for Chan Wai Hung even though I knew Hui Ka Kit won since my dad spoiled it to me... But even if Chan Wai Hung didn't win, he got the top 3 + an award for something (missed it due to mother on the phone). That means, he will be called up for a good variety of contracts and stuff since he was so popular among the female judges~ Go Chan Wai Hung! Congratulations Hui Ka Kit for winning the Mr. Hong Kong 2009 title!!!!! ^^
There were a few other good events too... but I'm too lazy to list them right now and since it is almost 3 AM + I have work tomorrow night, I need sleep lol Good night everyone! I had a great day today and hope for a better one tomorrow! ^^
