Water + Electronics = Bad!
Well, today I almost killed by laptop! Yikes!
I had been feeling off all day, fatigued and tired, I couldnt even get out of bed earlier because I was that exhausted.
I had barely eat so went and made myself something to eat plus grabbed a glass of water.
Was chatting on MSN and went to move my mouse, instead knocked over the glass of water right on my laptop. x_X
I quickly picked it up, unplugging and removing everything away from the water. Turned my laptop upside down to let the water drain out from the keyboard (theres little layer under my keyboard which I think saved everything else underneath).
Let it dry for a bit, then sat there with some towels drying everything.
Tried turning it on via battery, looked fine, but it kept making very loud caution sounds. Unplugged everything, removing the battery as well.
I ended up literally pulling apart my laptop (I've pulled apart a computer tower before, never a laptop) and borrowed a hair dryer to dry everything.
After some two hours of work, I've finally gotten it to work. Hoping it'll stay that way. Whats worrying me right now is if any condensation gets stuck within and it ends up corroding the metal within. =(
Hoping that does NOT happen!
Right now, I'm transferring my entire drive over to my external just in case...
*sigh*
I still need to work on my physics assignment too..
