If you come across a fic be sure to check the heading part first. This is where pairings and warnings are contained. It seems to me that some people seem to just skip over those parts, don’t. If a fic has a clear warning and you ignore it, that’s your problem, not the writer’s. There’s no point hassling them about it just because you couldn’t take the five seconds it takes to read the warnings.

For instance. I, personally, don’t like Freard. So when I see a fic, I check that same section. If in the pairings, it says Freard, I don’t read it. I don’t read it, get to the end and then bitch at the author for writing a Freard fic. It’s not their fault for writing it, it’s my fault for reading it.

Another example. If a fic says in the warnings that there’s rape in it, if you don’t like that (if it’s triggery to you) again, you don’t read it and move on.

I’m constantly astounded by two things from people. First the fact that people don’t seem to be able to comprehend what warnings are there for (or ignore them entirely) and second, how ridiculously rude and childish they can be.

That’s why I’ve stopped writing MCR stuff. And YMAS and pulled back from writing The Blackout stuff. That’s why I’m in my happy little niche of writing Bullet slash and not doing much else.
