Not A Good Start
A very small and sad update. My gran (nenny we called her) that I spoke of in my new year post, passed away very suddenly on the 9th.
The funeral was just today as it was unexpected so a post-mortum had to be carried out etc. She didn't keep in good health as I mentioned but nothing that would have been expected to cause her to pass suddenly. Turns out it was the exact same thing as my granda (her husband) an ulcer that burst, possibly caused by smoking though it can't be proved.
She never mentioned any pain so the doctor didn't know it existed or else maybe she could have had it treated before this happened. But they've said it was quick and painless so thats something.
She would be glad that she went out in her own house, that she'd made a home for almost sixty years, pretty much nearly all her adult life. She never wanted to be anywhere else, so thats also something. Independent to the end. She was a second mother to me and my brother, and even now it hasn't sunk in.
RIP Nenny, loved and missed always.
