Such fun
At work right now, just had a talk with my boss about the prospects facing our place of employment, due to the horrid economy facing Vegas right now, and some poor past decisions made by upper level mgmt. The answers were direct, which was appreciated, but they left me with the feeling that now, more than ever, coming in to work is simply re-arranging deck chairs on the Titanic. Even if we get them to spell out something funny or helpful, it's all going to be swept away as the icy Atlantic of reality surges up over sides of the ship, and finally takes its due.
Yay for delayed Mondays...at least I had a nice extended weekend...and sadly, none of this is a surprise...it's just disheartening. And while I hold little love for my posittion, I've worked my ass off here...I guess this is like corporate Stockholm syndrome or something.
Ah well, time to sharpen up the ol' resume, and start looking into school options again. I want that psych degree and some acting classes back under my belt, and this set of circumstances won't let me remain complacent. The hand of Fate works in mysterious ways.
