CAMERA REFRESHER

My boss asked me to come take photos at the chartering event this weekend. Even though I knew it was going to be a long day, I told her that i would do it. That's kinda how we work...we get each others backs if needed. This is why I love working with the wonderful women that share my office suite. It was great!!

I was able to hold on to the divisions digital camera for the whole weekend, so I decided to take it for a little stroll. It felt really good to hold the camera again. Fun and exciting. The pictures from the banquet cam out pretty well. Of course i am my own worse critic, so there is always room for improvement. My boss was really pleased with them. I told her that i wasn't too excited about the color of some of the pictures. SO I would do my best to adjust. I'm thinking they should probably decide which ones they want before I go in and adjust all 200+ pictures that i took. That will take a long time. On the flip side. I drove around a bit on Sunday and took pictures of signs that I have found interesting for a while. I've been wanting to take these pictures for a long time...and I finally got up and got out and did it! Some of the pictures i took out of the window as Michelle was driving us back from the rental car place. Pretty pleased that my aim and eyes are still working.

Here are some of the pictures that I took:

I found it interesting that the most important things when hotels were advertising their rooms were, TV..COLOR if possible, a phone, and a kitchenette. Some places offered AC. I wonder if they wouldn't get any business if they said, safe, warm (or cool, depending on the weather) place to get a good nights sleep. mmm??? I got in trouble at one place. I was standing in the parking lot taking pictures, and this lady started to yell at me from the hotel office. "HEY HEY...do you hear me??? You can't take pictures of the sign cause its private property." well i had already gotten what I needed. So i left quietly. I think it's funny that i she told me i can't take a picture of it cause it was private property. Perhaps it was because I was on the property taking the photo...and not across the street or on the sidewalk.

all and all it was a nice but busy weekend.
