Mass Effect 3 - The Ending I Finally Got
So I took my time with my 2nd playthrough of Mass Effect 3 (and subsequently did a 3rd playthrough - Renegade/Bad Choices at the same time) and finally finished it this past weekend. I've also made sure that I did some multiplayer to boost up my Readiness Rating so when I finally hit the Cronos Station Mission/Priority: Earth missions, I was able to pretty much achieve a decent FMVs and ending (the one where Shepard lives after you Destroy the Reapers).
I have to say...I'm somewhat satisfied now. I still don't like the endings that much, but at this point, I think if Bioware ends up tweaking the endings to the point of hearts and rainbows, I'll be pissed off even more. The controversy surrounding the endings has blown way out of proportion in my opinion. At least it's getting the media news it deserves, but just some of the rhetoric from both sides (those who think we are 'entitled' gamers, and those who think we paid too much money for a crappy ending) is enough to make me want Bioware to NOT release a DLC, but rather just issue an apology, that's it.
I mean, isn't that what fanfiction is for? To create your own alternate universe head!canon where in your own world all is right? I certainly think so and have written an alternate ending option to support my own head!canon. I mean come on...think about it. Fanfics were created so that people can get the ending or scenario they wanted.
Simple as that.
