(no subject)
Ugh, I feel terrible. I got sick a couple of days ago. It seemed like a little head cold, but now my stomach is acting up. Good thing it's a weekend, and a longer one at that. Thank you, Labor Day.
Hm...12 episodes left of Black Jack 21 for me. Holy crap, this is much better than the last series, even if it doesn't have as many crack-ish moments between Black Jack and Pinoko. The opening...the opening...it completely kicks ass. Still...did they really have to call the thing the Noir Project? Because...well...every time I hear it, I automatically think of Noir and Les Soldats. I'm half-expecting Kirika, Mireille, Chloe, Altena, someone to appear.
The other season had some crazy things, especially some of the patients. Like, oh jeez, Tinq. That one little kid who started hanging out with Pinoko, who everyone was told by Pinoko that he was her "lover." The one who's organs were reversed. It was weird. If Link were to be in the series, as a little kid, drawn in the same style as everyone else, he'd look like Tinq. Then that one kid who had cancer and thought everyone had been taken over by alien invaders. That was a pretty bad episode, but the kid looked a lot like 009. Come to think of it, a lot of guys in the show have 009's hairstyle, but this kid actually looked like him.
I've seen 34 of 61 episodes, and I still haven't seen Doctor What's-His-Name. BJ's "rival." He's in the opening and everything (though they constantly shuffle who appears at that part in the opening, for whatever reason), but he's not there. D: I think I saw him in the preview screenshot for one of the 21 episodes though, so I'm looking forward to that.
...I'll shut up now. But yes, I will app for BJ, like I said (even though I only got to read some of the first volume today). I can't find a lot of icons, though. I only have two, what. D:
Also, I've heard that Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is being made into a live-action movie. A lot of fans are protesting to it, since most movies that are based on anime shows turn out bad. Personally, I would find the idea of it becoming a movie awesome, if it weren't for the fact that it's Higurashi. Considering how complex the storyline is, I have no idea how they'll be able to put it all into two hours. They'll probably make things up and do major editing, which would be terrible. Someone said they might only do one arc, which is possible. Well, even if I could see it in subtitles, and even if it turned out well, I still wouldn't see it. Higurashi is one the the most violent, bloody series I've ever seen. Just the way it's shown in the show creeps me out. Despite all of the sickening things they do, I can still see it, since it's animated. Live-action, and I get sick to my stomach, no matter how unrealistic it is. I'd probably get nightmares from it, and I've had enough of those.
...Man, I need to get back to that series soon, especially with the second season out.
Edit: I can't believe I forgot to put this up. Did any of you guys hear about this? It's absolutely hilarious and pathetic at the same time. The girl went on one of those morning news shows and explained that she was nervous and didn't really hear the question. A former principal of her school told reporters that the girl was actually smart and mainly took honors classes. Well, she sure acted smart at the pageant. I would think that it wouldn't be as bad asking for the question to repeated than to completely BS your answer with talks of Iraq, Africa, and Asia, though that might just be me. I will be shocked if Scott from VGCats doesn't talk about it.
