My mother makes me love computer games so much. Now, I love console-based video games more on a group/party social basis--games like Amplitude, DDR, Soul Calibur, and Mario Party are tons of fun to play with friends. I like computer games and console video games pretty much equally on an individual basis; I'm equally happy whether I plunk down behind Morrowind or Neverwinter Nights on the PC, or a Final Fantasy or Suikoden game on the PS/PS2.
When it comes to bonding with my mom, however, I'm all about computer games. The last good example was her two-year addiction to Diablo and Diablo II. We played different classes (I played amazons and assassins, she played barbarians and shamans), but we still chatted about bosses and missions over supper. Or on One Act Play field trips with my cousin, with Mom as chaperone/assistant director.
And now... We have Sacred. Sacred is basically just a super-expanded Diablo clone, and it's tons of fun. It makes Mom stay up late and then whine to me about sleep deprivation, which amuses me to no end. She's come running into my bedroom late at night to tell me about a new enemy she's encountered, and squealed and babbled incoherently because OMGCRYSTALIFOUNDADRAGONANDITSHUGEANDITKILLEDMEANDIHAVETOTRYAGAINSOCOMESEEITNOW! She also tried to wake me up last night when a little trick I do backfired on her unexpectedly. *snickers* She's so cute!
Anyways, I know that nobody really cares, but this is my journal, and the entry's not scandalous enough to friends-lock or make private, so... Whatever.
