My Kid Could Paint That

The whole story is about grownups. She's just a little girl, painting; in here house.

I found this movie through Drawn.ca. From the comments I came to the Penciljack forums on it. I gotta say I'm disappointed in a lot of the illustrators in the forum. On a very basic level they equate time spent on a project to it's final value. Back in High School, I remember working on one piece that took me literally weeks to finish. I remember getting a B+ on it because the color palette I used wasn't what my teacher would have used. The next piece I decided to do modern art because that month I was really busy with extracurricular activities. I did it in less than 2 hours. I got an A+. You have no idea how angry I was.
The greatest cross hatcher in the western hemisphere once told me "You can shine a piece of shit all semester. At the end of the semester you know what you've got? Shiny shit."

It's an interesting discussion though. Among all the jerking knees and self-righteous students a few well thought out positions. At it's core though you are trying to describe not just the nature of art and creation, but to place a value on it; both monetarily and judgmentally. And honestly, that's a nut I don't think any forum troll is going to crack.
