Probability predictions about the potential major "happenings" over the next two years, based off my "special" computer program. Not to be taken seriously.
2011:
87% probability: American politics will deadlock, making very little happen over this year politically.
67% probability: Middle Eastern hostilities will increase, causing some small- and mid-size countries (population-wise) to erupt into violent warfare. There is a 52% probability one of the world's first-line military powers will become directly involved. There is a 37% likelihood that the United Nations will intervene in a meaningful way.
There is an 87% chance that weather patterns (temperature, humidity, etc.) will deviate widely from last year. There is a 66% probability of an increase in catastrophic storms, with world-wide death estimates of 1.2 million deaths from same world wide. Nationally, the deaths are likely to be about 126,000. Damage to national assets and infrastructure will be about $42B (+/-$14B, many variables).
There is a 4% chance for catastrophic asteroid impacts causing significant damage on Earth.
2012:
86% probability: American politics will be unified by increasing common mutual interests near this time. Politicians will be able to leverage this into advancing their political agendas. Some of these agendas are actually beneficial, though.
67% probability: Natural disasters will compete with increasing hostilities in the Middle East for the highest casualty list. Between the two, 27 million humans will die. 420,000 people die from rioting due to world-wide panics.
51% probability: Alien intervention will be discovered by the American populace in a meaningful way. Among the likely scenarios: 36% likelihood of Aliens having been working with the American military for years in covert plans; 42% chance of Aliens being benevolent and bringing many benefits to mankind; 11% chance of Aliens being hostile and attacking/raiding Earth; 11% chance of Aliens being of one faction, attempting to help/partner with humanity against a mutual threat.
27% probability: It is discovered that the Earth and our universe is merely a simulated universe being manipulated or created by a powerful faction of some kind, probably humans from what we might consider our future.
