Well, like 1000 other people at OHSU, my communications manager position just got cut. Fortunately, they're going to keep me on as a lead dispatcher, with only a slight pay cut. In a way, it's kind of a relief. I won't have to carry a pager anymore, I go back to the four days on / four days off schedule (I miss those four day weekends) and if I have to work extra hours for something I get overtime.
At least, until those positions get cut. ;)
Another option I could take is a severence package, but I don't think I'm going to go for it. A job in the paw is worth more then a wad of cash and a tissue.
