Yes, Arisia was Very Good. I wish I'd come back to play a bit in LJ before I went, though. I'd have loved to have met you in person after reading just a little bit of what you've written here. It sounds like we have some commonalities.

I was playing Wicked Great Crazy Aunt to my teenaged niece, Emma, at the con, plus I bought my first lace-up bodice dress, which contrasts sharply with my usual jeans, men's shirt, and leather jacket. Who am I? Apparently lots of things! Always interesting to find out more.

Oh, Arisia is so crazybusy that we wouldn't have had much time to get to know each other anyway - but there's always next year! :)

I only got to 2 full panels (hit two halfway through, and one for full length).

This disappoints me.

I'd had the schedule grid in advance, I just didn't use it.

Next year, maybe I'll do better with panels, and better at making plans for how to deal with meals and being social.

This year, at least my logistics plans for spending time with both of my sweeties worked, if nothing else did.

Most restaurants do have olive oil in the back. Mr. Rhi and I often find that sufficient for dressing.

How was my con? My con was good. It was not OMG MIND BLOWN UNIVERSE REBUILT good, but I wasn't expecting it to be; I saw many (though not all) of the folks I wanted to see, got to be part of some really good panels, had some meaningful conversations, met new folks, built upon my resolutions...and enjoyed myself.
