[Today, Jak's feeling grumpy.
Maybe it's the realization that two years had already passed since he had been snatched from his life and pulled onto this stupid boat.
Maybe it's the memories and sadness dredged up from the
remembrance ceremony for his deceased mother a few days ago

He'd forgotten. HE'S PISSED AT THAT GUY.
So he stalks into Sergei's and slams a hand down on the bar near Jak; not hard enough to break anything but hard enough to rattle glasses.]
Hey! Why didn't you get punished?
Reply
Grunting, he steps around him in his search for a bottle.]
Punished for what.

For attacking me, dilweed. You forget about that already? Memories lost in that alcoholic haze you call your daily life?

[If Jak's good at anything, it's pissing people off. And boy does he want to piss off Bass.
Snagging a bottle, he sets it on the counter and turns back to glare at the robot.]

Maybe I should've broken a few more things and left a stronger impression.
[You asshole. He hates you so much Jak.]

[That's bullshit and Jak knows it. If Bass hadn't walked away when he did, he could easily have killed Jak in their last fight.
Still, pride was pride, and Jak was feeling petty.]

Sure I couldn't.

[Bass is mildly disappointed; Jak being punished for that would've been the icing on the cake, but whatever. He circles around behind the bar and rummages around until he emerges with a bright blue can with a large "E" on it. Guess what it stands for.
Bass cracks the can open and takes a swig; he really doesn't have to fuel up -without his buster or his armor his fuel usage is surprisingly low- but there's no harm in doing it anyway. Though he does stop short and slaps his palm against the counter, glaring at Jak.]
Oh yeah. Don't use that bomb thing ever again if it makes you change back. That fight was too fucking short.

Jak frowns for a moment, then leans back and folds his arms, staring at Bass.]
Too short, huh?
[Does that mean what he thinks it might mean?]

Grabbing a new glass, Jak pours himself a drink, then glances at whatever the hell it is Bass has.]
Fine. No more bombs.

...good.

[Bass gets a suspicious glare right back.
Jak enjoyed that fight. More than he should have, he's pretty sure. It was almost disappointing that it ended so quickly. And that Bass chose to walk away when he could easily have killed Jak after he exhausted himself? It had been weighing on Jak's mind.
And left him curious as to what would happen if he hadn't pulled out the big guns.]

He'll start a fight some other time, but he wants to make sure he won't be punished for it first. Otherwise it's just not worth it.]
