[After all the "revelations" from Praxis and Erol about his supposedly deteriorating sanity, and learning about the gaps in his memory, Jak is decidedly confused, angry, and not particularly stable

[Blitz has been exploring the ship after the party and decided to hit the bar. He completely didn't recognise Jak at first, but the regular ears and blonde hair fixed that. His first thought was that Jak cleaned up DAMN well in Kras. His second is that this is the perfect time to get a bit more ground with him.]

Jak, my boy! I hope you don't mind if I join you.

[Oh great. That voice. Jak slugs back his glass, then turns on the stool to face ...

... wow. So that's the Kras City racing commissioner.]

Blitz. Right?

The one and only! I almost didn't recognise you at first, but then, I supposed you wouldn't recognise me at all!

[He sits down uninvited, but still extends a hand to shake.]

[Jak doesn't take it.]

You suppose right.

[Yeah, he's not in a good mood at all. Especially since he really didn't want company.]

[Blitz retracts his arm, but doesn't seem phased. He holds out both hands in front of him, palms out and fingers splayed, and tilts his head slightly in a compliant manner.]

I can see you're not in the most talkative of moods right now. Just came by and figured you might want a face to put to the voice. I'll get out of your (considerable) hair.

[Since when is he ever talkative, Blitz?

But hell. Maybe talking about something he loves will keep his mind off the memory gaps.]

You're the racing commissioner.

Indeed I am! Best job you could hope for. Nothing in Kras is better than racing.

Zoomers?

[He leans his elbow against the bar. Jak can abide the company -- annoying as Blitz is -- while they're talking about one of his favorite things.]

Of course not, we use real cars in Kras. The traction of a good set of wheels, driving over a rough spot, the screech of the wheels in a tight turn - you can't get that with zoomers.

[Jak's eyes light up slightly. Yeah, you've got his interest piqued.]

[God he misses racing. Really misses it.]

[Blitz watches Jak take interest and grins a bit.]

You were pretty good with cars. Most Havenites who come to Kras fumble with being connected to the ground, but you went from zoomers to cars pretty smoothly. Some past experience, I thought it might have been.

[It's false modesty, Jak knows he's damn good at racing, even better than he thought from his reputation in Kras.

He gestures with his hand against the bar.]

We used cars in Spargus. Better traction in the sand I guess, and better armor.

I have fanon that I'm trying not to include here, durr.

Ah yes, Spargus. Excellent drivers, some of them make.

[Jak quirks one eyebrow as he lifts his drink.]

You get a lot of Spargans?

[How come everyone's heard of Kras except him? >:C]

Occasionally. Kleiver was a pretty keen driver when he came over, and we had a few refugees leave Spargus for Kras. Of course the same can be said vice-versa, though I can't imagine why anyone would want to leave Kras for... those conditions.

[There's no place like Kras, after all. Blitz firmly believes that.]
