family!

I was definately bummed when I found out that absolutely no one in my family was going to be coming to my show this weekend. I guess it was just the first time I had done something of consequence that wasn't going to be seen by at least one of them. My mom says I have to get used to it.

"I'm in college now."

But to tell you the truth, I was really really sad about it. I had worked for an entire year for this and it just kinda got forgotten in the mix. I guess that's what you get sometimes in a big family. So preparing for the show this week was a little bittersweet. Being "set chair"...haha...I kinda had my hands full the whole week and pretty much spent every waking hour either in class or at the Shanley Shack.

And then Opening Night.

I can't tell you how amazing my friends are here. It feels good to know that you have two full rows of the audience that came to see you. You all are wonderful and I don't know if I would have been able to do that first show without you. I know it sounds ridiculously corny, but you really were like my family last night.

And then theres those who are in the group with me.

Oh, the factor love that was goin' on last night! I love all 16 of these wonderful people and truly consider each one of them to be a great friend. It's hard sometimes to feel like you have a place like home here at school, but I know that I've found that place within this little group.

Last nights two wonderful shows went all too fast.

And tonight I am lucky to have two more chances to Save the Day?
