Starting Fall07 at NIU
I meant to update last night... except I was quite distracted by my friends page - thank you imafarmgirl, Sarah, for your amusing entries. You are amazingly funny - though I know the experiences are hardly a laughing matter.
Anyway I got here Thursday the 23rd. It was a bitch because of the major storms around Chicago. I meant to go get my books on Friday but being as the town was flooded the university closed. So I was here all weekend for nothing. Oh yeah and my smoke alarm needs a new battery so it is squawking at me every 45 seconds or so.
My classes actually seem like they will be interesting. Too bad I'll be skipping them Friday. It's a holiday weekend and I'm bailing early. I would not but that is how it works out with airfare.
Everyday I wake with the same dred. Another day of missing my angel. It breaks my heart. I try to push it aside and cope. But that is only working so much. I'm just praying for the day I get my acceptance letter to Metro State so I can go there for a bit til I have enough credits for the UofM. I'm really stressed as do not know where I will live when I return to MN being as my house has been rented. *sigh* I miss my wife.
